These Elite Extra Edition packs are treating me pretty well so far... first pack had a GU Jersey and a serial numbered cards and here we found a serial numbered autograph - not top dollar stuff but it's the only hits I've gotten so far! Still have 3 packs left but don't want to do the same pack day after day so let's see if I can get a hit somewhere else in the next few days.

Not great but I enjoyed it, felt like I was opening something a bit classic and/or retro... but then again, I guess I was. I never was familiar with this set so it was cool to finally get a peek in. Though I must admit, I actually don't really know most of thse guys - in this particular pack I think the only guys I really knew was Campanella and Spahn but it's cool to see and/or read about these guys that I for some reason haven't heard of... makes me feel like I should've!

Nice little retro pack to open.. I never really had, nor currently have, many of the Topps Big cards so I find them a little interesting to open. Found a little box of baseball cards for $5 at a garage sale and looks like it has a few packs of these and a bunch of loose ones mixed in with other various late 80's/early 90's cards. Although they are interesting, I have never been a fan of these oversized cards - they seem so much easier to damage since most things designed for your average card do not accommodate these well.  But the price was right and I'm also game for anything I don't have, whatever that may be. I'm a hopeless completionist.

Interesting series... didn't expect anything so I'm not disappointed as I don't believe that this set has anything special in it as far as real inserts/autos/gu/anything like that - real low-end set. However it's different and I like the artsy style, nice for a change. Some of the stickers and such are worth a little bit, I may have some of these cards I think I have nearly the complete set in a binder but I guess I never entered them in my Beckett organizer, nice little budget set to put together... why not? Dollar Tree (the leading dollar store around here) always seems to have a bunch on hand.

Special shout out to my first 2 supporters!

Just wanted to give a special shout out to my first 2 supporters where 90% of my (small amount of) traffic comes from.

First off

http://www.freedomcardboard.com

A great forum full of knowledgeable and friendly people - highly recommended if you're looking for a forum to discuss baseball and/or the hobby of cards, where most of my traffic has been coming from. These guys really help inspire my hobby! I really appreciate the support and only hope those who have visited will often come back and that those who haven't will take a few minutes here and there to check it out and leave a comment!

And the second being a bit of a surprise,

http://bdj610scblogroll.blogspot.com/

A big thank you to James over at the Sports Card Blogroll! Noticed incoming traffic from another site and saw that a link had been added to my lil ol' blog. I appreciate that and the least I could do is return the favor! If you're ever wondering what other card blogs are out there - definitely head on over to his blog and check out all the ones he has listed and nicely categorized at that.

I'm far from a big or popular blog over here but I will continue to support anyone who supports me! I doubt I wouldn't notice incoming traffic from different places but if for some odd reason I do and you have given me a shout out or linked to me and haven't heard anything or seen me return the favor - you can always leave a comment or e-mail me at untouchable.techniq@gmail.com

Not quite as disappointing as the other packs... I like the mascot insert, for some odd reason I enjoy them and find them interesting haha and I also happen to be a sucker for serial numbered cards, even if the number is relatively high I still find comfort in knowing there are only X available. Makes me feel like I have something that could disappear someday, whether valuable or not I like that idea. Until then I can only see what my hand grabs out of the pack bag tomorrow!
